After 12 very successful and gratifying years of business, Anna & Friends Salon is choosing to close. Current business situations and the end of our lease at Parker Square have made it the ideal time to end this chapter. Many tears have been shed and questions asked and in the best interest of the business we keep coming up with the same answer. So, as of June 12, 2011, the salon we have loved will no longer reside in Flower Mound.

Anna & Friends Salon became the first chapter in a dream to be successful in the beauty industry. It began by creating a salon that provided first rate quality hair care services and a place for friends to gather with a “Cheers” kind of atmosphere – “where everyone knows your name.” In 1999, with four stations and 832 square feet, we began taking appointments. In 2001, the salon was recognized by Redken as one of thirty five Elite Salons in the nation. In 2006, we expanded to over 2200 square feet and ten stations and often had standing room only.

My passion for sharing our success in the industry led us to the second chapter of the dream when we opened The Salon Professional Academy in Lewisville. Education has always been my focus and the need to be in the Academy on a daily basis is what ultimately pulled me away from the salon’s day to day activity. To facilitate this move, Molly became my partner and for the last four years has managed the salon in my absence. What a task, to take someone else’s dream and run with it – thank you Molly for all your leadership!

The dream continues for me with my work at The Salon Professional Academy, located at 2440 B S. Stemmons Fwy, Lewisville. It continues for Molly with her work as a Redken Artist and stylist at Main Street Suites, next to Stein Mart, in Lewisville. Molly 214-762-0512, has all your records and would love to help you with your hair care needs. Amanda 817-908-0020 and Taylar 214-223-4070 continue their work as stylists at Salon and Spa Galleria near Grapevine Mills Mall and they too have your records to continue your services.

We will see where the next chapters take us, but for now, I want to personally thank all the stylists and front desk staffers that have provided services for all our guests over the years. To all my friends, thank you for the opportunity to serve you and for all the wonderful memories.
